Florida

Founded in 1885 surrounded by histories of illustrious families, like the Counts of San Ignacio and Casa More, and of opulent businessmen.

It was adapted to the American likes and European markets.

It became one of the Cuban capital most renowned hotel and during the 30s it was also the site of the Club Británico de La Habana.

The splendor of the epoch brough this hotel back to life at a central corner of the Obispo Street next to businesses spaces, art galleries and museums.

Its architectonic beauty from 1836, along with the service quality it offers, makes this place one of the most privileged in Old Havana.

La Odalisca an deco-art statue of a half naked woman welcomes newcomers that gather at a beautiful Spanish style inner patio, designed with raw stone columns, lamps and stained-glass windows made by the master Rosa María de la Terga.

Rooms contrast with the majestic public spaces of the hotel.

Beam roofs and furniture of the period – originals and imitations – remind of the Cuba’s colonial past.

Most them with balconies facing the street that reveals itself as one of the Havana’s busiest, just half-way to the most ancient cultural pole of the city.

The hotel also offers restaurant La Floridana and the Maragato piano-bar.
